This Day

We will falter not at uncertainty,
The pathway before us is clear in our minds
And the decision is made to move forward,
Seasons of hesitation are through and done with
This rocky ground is for navigational skills
Too long dormant and we must renew
Our zest for the land of the living,
Exploring the way of vast opportunities
Straining yet for that harvest, still
If we let them breathe and come alive
Well run in the garden of new hopes and dreams
There on the horizon of dawns eager promise
Just waiting for you and for me,
Well laugh like the wind among springtimes fresh blossoms
Well dance on the stage that looms large before us,
Throw off those old cloaks of doubt and despair
Trample across fear and misbegotten woes
Designed to crumple these tender inspirations
We hold in our hearts
Treasure with our souls,
And reach for the key that opens wide
All that awaits our victorious entrance,
Into our time, for all time on this day
