you* and you**

by David Garner

you* and you** should look for someone else, a different
someone else, and not the same ideas of someone else, no, no.

you* are lovely. you* look like the moon. you** don't.

you** look like a sad historic Russian tsar or czar. you* don't

you* have cheek bones high like wires in the circus or the telephone.

you** play her* like a jukebox or a tambourine.

you* let him** treat you like a punching bag or thing.

you** owe her* an old-fashioned, heart-felt, big apology.

and you* should find a way to accept it and move on.

you* and you** deserve much more than either one of you*** can give.

Very interesting form. This makes for good thinking. Good write and probably good advice.

The feeling in the poem, I kind of exasperation, moves it beyond normal expression, into sign-language... (*,**,***) this being so in tune with the momentum-- and frustratation at such relationship-- original and very effective!
