yinyang love

by Mary Frances Spencer

real vs. unreal
day to night struggles
opposites circle
predatory hawks
on desert currents

tangible sun
male energy
burns
intense obtuse
directions
is your heart
shining
out or upon
the object
of your

moon too softly
waxing waning
indecisive
fickle
or mysterious
darkness
female peacefully
asleep
or waiting

the hours
between
dusk dawn
blend the pinks
purples

light the way
into
beyond
through

yinyang love
and sets it down
again

Author's Note: Is there a balance between male/female energies? Feedback anyone? I haven't had time for a workshop lately. MFS

Re: your author's note: I think "yes", and the balance is perhaps more intrapersonal than interpersonal. I like that your poem doesn't indicate which you mean.
