tree meditation

by Mary Frances Spencer

if we could
drink
a pure and blessed water

and breathe
slow and deep
of ocean mountain
starry desert air

finding still lakes
affirmations
of positive intent

some of the
above

could trickle down
rooting
frenetic
feet

into forgotten earth
like trees unstoppable
waving olive branches
high against the sun

perhaps we could stop
sprout forgiveness

blossom
peace

Author's Note: If we meditate on trees, maybe we can all slow down. MFS

It's the whole Celestine Prophecy thing, and I definitely think it would do us some good!
