Movie

by David Garner

Credits roll

all the important people of my life right now
billed in alphabetical order

except you
you get the final
and

and you
as
The Temptress

then
edited by

then
produced by

then
written and directed by

then the music swells

opening montage

youth and birth
in that order

mom's red hair
dad's deep voice
sister's lab coat
brother's photo

and then you

you make a brief entrance

but we don't see you again
for at least forty minutes

I wrote it that way
it writes itself
she must come back into the picture

sometimes it's good to have to wait for the temptress to resurface

Great dramatic presentation! Love the vivid movie scenario. This is interesting sweet, and funny too, at least in the description... maybe in real life movie.. we'd just be waiting breathlessly for the resurface scene.
