He Coughs, Bills, and Cries by David GarnerHe coughs when he drinks his hot coffee.
He doesn't cover his mouth.
I've seen it.
Not just a slight clearing of the throat.
But a convulsion based from the thinnest part of the cavity.
He must have allergies or children.
He bills his clients $425 an hour.
But during that hour he literally picks his nose.
I've seen it.
Not just a flick of the thumb on the nostril.
But an index dug to the thinnest part of the cavity.
He must have allergies or children.
He cries when the deals don't go through.
Eyes well up on reflecting pools of change.
I've seen it.
Not just a tear in the corner of the eye duct.
But flowing from the thinnest part of the cavity.
He must have allergies or children.

| Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 01/11/08 at 05:28 PM I think you are a master of mirroring lines, this one is a triptych mirror... and seems to be the three wise monkey maxim turned around backwards in one person! Mouth nose and eyes here... (you'ver got the ears I think, and listen in on the coughing, billing and crying...) very funny about the "children"... heh... they show us how... in the most basic ways... |
