You are Still on My Skin by David Garner
I know the trick
the inevitable trick
to summon up your spirit
when you are still
at rehearsal
here's how:
I eat the leftover
General Tso's
then I take a swig of Pepsi
and I lick my lips
and there!
you are still on my skin
above my lip
below my nose
you are still on my skin
on the golden hairs
of my forearms
you are imbedded
like secrets
sand
and
hypertext
I run
my nostrils
along
the back
of my hand
and
there you are
residing
in
the textured lines
on the innerside
of the other side
of my wrist
and there you are
clean
with sex
and a mix
of my cologne
and there you are
