The Temp

by David Garner

amazon volleyball
lithuania

tall legs wide hips
blonde hair sand eyes

white cream bridge nose
summer months

gone from office
california season

rookie year titles won
autumn back job back

suit dresses unsuited
summer voice scratchy yell

computer screens copiers
don't become you like the sun

I guess it's hard to play volleyball in cubicle! MFS

The last two lines really breathe the poem out an open window into fresh air and sunshine, a personal affinity.

Great progression in this. A very satisfying ending. Congrats on POTD!
