Never mind that first part, this is happening all over ya know? by Johnny CrimsonIt's the songs you sing
and the smiles you wear
Why how could they ever say
otherwise
Otherwise known as betrayal
This is not your everyday
run of the mill confectionery
Candies and lockets
Braided sugar cream pies
The finest old watches
The fattest waitresses in town
Kindly pour me another
and sell me my prescription retail
Alright
Amidst the fucking confusion here
This circus I hated but had to indulge
I see that old Barry on the sidewalk
His wife bleeding in his lap
Must have been an auto accident
I pointed and shouted
"That's real gentlemen.
That there, the man
his bleeding wife in his hands,
the fragility of the situation,
the fragility of life.
That's fucking real.
Never mind the whores, and money and.."
Before I could end all that
the shortest man I had ever seen,
think I'll call him kid
ran in the store with a head in his hand
And danced the Irish Jig
I knew it was over then
Over here,in this store
Over on the bleeding street
with old Barry and battleaxe
Over for the world really
Before the shootings and that
whole massacre routine
I paused and asked the little man the time
He asked me to hold his fathers head
while he dug in his pockets
Raising the watch to the heavens he exclaimed
"Take this to hell,if you believe in that shit!"
