That Special Place

for your love reached across time and space
touched my soul
caressed my needs,
how could there ever be another?
not possible
I won't even try ...
but rather spend my days in silent reverie
with you, when we used to be
everything about you is everything I ever dreamed of
you were the one who came true...
you taught me about life and honesty
you loved me when all others ran far and fast,
in my darkest hour you stayed close
each moment shared was glorious, indeed ...
I will treasure our memories for all time
keep them close in my special place
and maybe one day
I'll turn and see
the most beautiful sight I could ever believe,
your smile, once more
all around me
and together we step into our destiny
