The End

by Rhyana Fisher

Why must you haunt my memory?
Oh, why can't you let me be?
I never wanted to love you
You trapped me before I knew
I was too young, I should have run
But I never realized
You never learned to love
And now it dies

Desperate to be my own person
To be a separate someone
Fighting to break this hated mold
And this unnatural hold
I tried so hard to be perfect
But I failed miserably
Leaving is all that's left
Why wouldn't you see?
(You really should have seen)
You didn't look and see

There is nothing left to be said
You refuse to hear me speaking
There is no need for you to change
It's too late, now I must go

It's time to go
Yes I must go
Time and past to go
Goodbye, I go

Author's Note: just something to keep my account from going inactive. old bit from years ago when i first started writing, the sum of my relationship with my dad. a little more repetitious than i usually care for, but it fit the melody of the midi it was written to.
