"L" in the Candy Shoppe

by Genevieve Sturrock

lonely lachrymose licorice
laments his levelheaded leanings
as he longingly lusts for
the licientious lemonhead
who lurks in the lobby
but alas she loathes
his lithe lankiness and
levels her lecherous leer upon
the length of the lofty lollipop
which is ludicrous as he
lavishes his love upon
the little luscious lime lozenges
who laughingly loll in the lap of his luxury

"but alas she loathes his lithe lankiness and levels her lecherous leer upon the length of the lofty lollipop"... ain't love grand? I love (L word) the way you place this line in here. Very well done.

Hi Genevieve, Great write with L poem. I've been reading others, trying to figure it out. It's does boggle the mind a little. I hadn't never seen these, til they started coming out. Does make one stop and think about it. Fun read. :)

Hey, I am really glad to see your response to my challenge. I delighted in your lavish L word cacophany. Fun read.

besides being candylishious and crafty, this poem wilts all my inhibitions not to partake in such sweet treats for confection starved peepers.
