Hindsight Gives Insight by Genevieve Sturrockwe stood
on the edge
of disaster
neither fully
aware of
the danger
and as the
cliff crumbled
we clasped hands
and walked away
looking back
we are shaken
at how close
we had come
to losing
it all 06/24/2007 Author's Note: it surprises me how love and trust can forstall complete emotional disaster. my husband is a good man and i am indebted to his kindness.

| Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 06/25/07 at 12:52 PM Almost an emotional or social axiom in the title and message. Wonderful analogy. Your note surely underscores the essential part of love and trust in a relationship. |

| Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 06/29/07 at 04:58 PM One of my favorite sayings is "You cannot know grace unless it has been granted to you." How else can a person know the depths of what forgiveness is until they've been forgiven - rescued from utter hell? And in this, we are also able to forgive. To be gracious.
I love your poem and author's note. |
