[Library] Sonofamartyr

by Nikki Rice

I had an inkling that this was only the beginning,
but I never dreamed that it wouldn’t end.
All this time, I’ve been waiting,
twiddling thumbs with breath bating;
a watch in a pocket, hanging on a chain,
I’m winding and ticking and timing away.
I thought once I’d broken, you’d cast me aside,
but, no, son-of-a-martyr, you’ve made me your bride.

Nicely done indeed... Short, but very sweet - kind of reads like a nursery rhyme. I like nursery rhymes. ;)
