Wedding Party Massacre

by Genevieve Sturrock

a word of caution
to all you brides
who like to plan ahead

prevent your maids
from inciting disaster
by making sure they're fed

murderous thoughts
are keeping this
seamstress' head abuzz

as she remakes the
dresses for those
damned dieting divas!

Author's Note: don't lose weight once the custom-made dress is fitted!
(not my personal best...but i am furious!)

This is really cute...and true! My mom owned a dress shop when I was a kid and was constantly taking in and letting out dresses!

Awww, I'm sorry sweetie!!! That sounds like no fun at all!! This was really cute, though...hope the release was there to go with it.

Quite the lesson...warning here Gen. Makes me glad I'm a man.

Quite the title and brings to mind the intense feelings that come from all that plans one has to make! I hope it is a beautiful ceremony and a wonderful marriage.

What a creative positive you brought out of a frustrating negative -pounds that is - I feel for you! Putting a wedding together is a lot of hard work without throwing sewing into it!

All that planning and .... poof ... more to attend to at the last minute. It's a dress fitter's and brides's nightmare. My fav was the second stanza but your anger showed throughtout ... as it should. Don't worry, you'll pull it all off in time. :) Trust me, I've been through it. I've also learned to never trust anybody who says, "Trust me." LOL!
