Tea and Tonight by Christopher ShinThings seem to make
the oddest part of
my soul seem to conflict
with younger pieces of
me.
I swore that I'll
never come back,
but all I can do
is miss the summer
heat.
I beared the blunt
of the dull arrow heads
as they dug into
my chest.
And yet again,
I will dash away
all the hopes I
dilute my mind with.
I promise to age
with dignity,
but promise to never
take back oaths
of love and homes.
I'll be gone
tomorrow but
for now I'm here,
and at home in
my own faith.
And falling in love in my
forgotten memories. 05/05/2007 Posted on 05/05/2007 Copyright © 2025 Christopher Shin
