My Muse Has Fled

by Genevieve Sturrock

my muse has fled
and left me here
with words half formed

mindlessly wandering
phrases and thoughts
unfinished and chaotic

dissatisfaction wars
with contentment
for my life is perfect

except my muse
has fled and
with him my peace

Author's Note: it's more than writer's block...it's a loss i can't abide.

Hi Geneieve, Great write. Writer's block hits us all at sometimes in our life. Yes, more than once. That's why I put the s after sometimes. Hey, ya haven't lost it, here it is in this one. It will come back, dodn't push yourself. take it easy. Sometimes it can be the least little thing or something big. Hang in there. Maybe, she's just renewing herself. :)

My muse likes to leave at the most inconvenient times. We all can relate.
