wintertime circle of summertime savors
think we'll get it right this time?
of all the seasons and flavors I've tried
yours is the one I most delight in
regardless,
hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob
salivate,
want another bite?
I do ...

this digestion process takes time
why rush a good thing?
we know it only ends up with heartburn,
who needs it?

let's enjoy every morsel
as it slides across our tongues,
treasure these moments
leisurely,
as we lay across these blankets, soft
and capture every delicious thought
rolled in a memory ...

we'll keep them right here on the mantle
of our minds
discreet,
no one can see
except you and me,
everytime we want to remember
these summertime savors,
indeed!
