Louise at Luau

more poetry
than anything I’ll ever write
she throbs across the floor
to endless dance mix
my own movement
in comparison
quite comical
the lei across her halter
(she told me earlier “it’s not a bra!”)
alive with every beat
a vision of Eve
to shame the Bible
my eyes
an uncertain up or down
every inch of her
a breath taker
Latin faced perfection
framed in long brown hair
tanned neck
to make even the toughest vampire
weep to Heaven
grass skirted hips
a rhythm in themselves
yet somehow synchronized
with the rest of her
well toned thighs
naked feet
each long slender toe
unto itself a masterpiece
my own legs gave out on me
a while ago
but like any fool finding himself
amid this moving feast
I’ll keep up with her
on wishful thinking alone
if necessary
oh no!
we just sat down
the dj’s in cahoots!
with a grin
she wiggles at me
her index finger
