That Canyon Road by Alisa Jsshe made her way with measured skips
along an abandoned canyon road,
it was dark outside without a cloud
and from my vantage point I could see
the light above as it crept around
that darkened canyon road ...
was this real?
how her silhouette swayed to the beat of something indiscreet
and I found myself inside
as we took those steps to dance and twist
it was late at night
the stars did string some silent songs
but who could hear
without being there?
I hid among mossy shadowed walls
and felt misty tears from eyes not known
stream against the light that shown and slowly began to fade
from her and the others, too
now prancing there
just out of view
there, on that canyon road... 02/06/2007 Posted on 02/07/2007 Copyright © 2025 Alisa Js
