My Friend The End

by Tony Whitaker

fear not death
this friend
  the end

the line
grows
shorter

your turn

to
  step
   into the
    human stream
      to become
         again

listen
closely

the door opens
   infinity

existence
renewed

Author's Note: People who fear death have way too much time on their hands. If you are going to tke the time to dwell on it. Think about where it will take you in the universal mine!

I die a little more every day... Isn't that how the song goes? The older I get, the more I appreciate the death of one season ushers in the birth of the new season repeating newness on a well worn path. It's just a fork in the road, not a dead end.

Is it not written... to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord?...there is no fear in perfect love...nicely done, Tony...;-)
