I stand here beside summertime shadows
Wistfully glancing toward those misty spring showers,
Remembering with sheer fascination
That morning sun
As it danced across the face of our love,
Those carefree seasons of laughter and rain
How this heart longs for
Just one more sweet scent,
To enjoy once again
Moments unfettered
Whimsical times of another day's whispers ...

With childlike wonder did we embrace
Each drop as it met our willing faces,
Sipped we
From the elixir delicious ...

Flavors of innocence lost
Replaced with a wry smile
Somewhat wiser for wear,
Yet still with a vision
Tho' morning has passed
and I'm here in the shadows
Waiting ...

For one more glimpse of that scene still lingering,
Are you still seeking?
Do you believe that together we could find
That mystical key as we challenge the moonlight
and seach for our Xanadu,
Uncover those clues back to the dawning
To bathe in daybreak's first light,
With eager smiles
Once again,
Oh how I do anticipate
To taste that elixir,
Delicious ...
