Somehow those tears there in her soul
grew increasingly larger with each step,
Starting at first like a small, tiny bead
Soon splashed high,
Over those dark shadows lingering still in her head …

Clutching her bag tighter she rushed now to make
her way past those bright colored shoulders,
Clamoring towards that next intersection
Before the world turned again,
Some glanced right through her to check for the signal
Oblivious to the obvious,
Others astonished dropped their mouths open wide
Transfixed as they stared right through her,
Watching as those cars drove on by ...

On the other side of impossible awaits
A serene place full of miracles and more,
In this land of amazing
We'll find satisfied souls,
In this land where dreams do come true...

Run from that land of impossible!
Where bodies walk by and empty smiles look past
Vacant,
Lips move, sure...
But you can no longer hear them
When those words strung together are nonsense
Forgot about any picture,
Eyes turn and wink with naked aggression,
Don't you see the obvious, my dear?

If you believe in the dream
And know in your heart this is real,
Why falter at things that may not make sense?
Or allow jaded memories to get in the way
Of what could be the love of our lifetime?
Traps on the pathway, unpleasant at best
Are past us now,
They belong in the rear
Where they'll stay,
If we let them ...

Why not meet me in that serene place?
We'll eat blueberries for breakfast
Our kisses so sweet,
Get lost in each other for days around days
Toss away clocks and all cell phones
We'll be ...
