[Library] The Consequence is a Question
by Nikki RiceLiving in the moment
breeds a consequence of questions
and I don't feel like answering.
Only an essay would do,
but the only two words I remember
are 'yes' and 'no.'
Each new memory
pushes another one aside;
like the love I had
with a face I will never recognize again.
I've filled in the blanks
with the eyes of enemies,
because those experiences
become more prominent each day;
the VIPs of my brain.
