When The Rain Stopped

by Jacki M Butler

As the endless rain goes on
A single clap of thunder
The clouds start to recede
Weeks without sun
People start to emerge
Weary of the world
Smiles emerge as the sun
Peeks out its wondrous rays
The bustle of summer is in here
The baron beaches finally begin to fill
Everyone finally gets their peace.

Ahhh! the good feel of the sun after a long period of rain! You catch it in this poem!
