Topic: If all else Fails, Break Glass

by S.J. Tyler

If all else fails before you take your last drink
Remember those friends
Who have cushioned those failures
Those who have kept you from hitting the ground

You think you’ve tried everything
But there’s always a chance
Behind the next door
Could be a true friend
Who'll lift you once more
Though you feel it’s the end

If all else fails before you take your last drink
Remember me and please break the glass

Author's Note: Thanks for the topic, you're my new fabulous muse, Aaron Michael! Whoa! Just noticed an inadvertant rhyme in there. Go me.

this was a wonderful take on the topic, Sarah. i dig the positivite message. it feels that the first stanza should break after line four, but i think it's just me :) good work
