Faye by Kelvin TanOf nature born, is one complete
The hours pass, the days repeat
With certainty and ruthlessness,
The heat, the cold, confuse the mess
With daily horrors, the friction chaffs,
The silent killer, it stalks the laughs
Plot thickens
Core hardens
Awareness, gone!
Consciousness, gone!
All is fine, without a cause,
Life goes on, without a pause
Full, but spoilt, the hardened pit
Casts a shade, to discredit
Light appears, a holy gift
Acid upon, the soapy mist
Warmness where the sun don't shine
A solvent for, the bitter brine
Of earth rebirth, the seasons new
Behold! A miracle, the time is due
Left is right, rejoice the fate
Of the magic, its ne'er too late 05/11/2006 Posted on 05/11/2006 Copyright © 2025 Kelvin Tan

| Posted by S.J. Tyler on 05/14/06 at 11:27 AM It's been so long since I've read something in couplets. I think it's the perfect format to write in if you evoke the natural mystics. Keep posting! I'd love to see more. |

| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 05/22/06 at 01:55 PM Beautiful. Has a classic feel to it like some of Poe's romantic work. |
