Whale Watching by Ken HarnischIn mad caprice we dance
To the music of the stars
Then go strolling on the beach
To watch the whales
In their mad mating rituals.
You say you want to swim
And I say we need the boat
You say the whales make no plans
Before their Diaspora, and I say
To them it is predestination
You say Im too cautious
And I reply that could be:
But the brain God gave me
Is oft times just a medley
Of flashing lights and sirens
Tonight, it inhibits swimming with
The pods that frolic in the sea

| Posted by Darren Swift on 03/16/06 at 05:11 PM Living with opposites is marvellous - one throws caution to the wind, the other catches it and holds tight as if to a lifebelt - I liked how this poem reflects this within a shell of wonderful words and use of language - good work! _ _ Jimmy |

Thank You Poetman... for having the courage to look within and pen the words and emotions you find there. How often life brings this out in us, the caution when faced with abandon... *grin*.. How often it brings out abandon, when faced with caution, and how wonderful a world it is because of both! |
