the city is going going

by Kimberly Rhode

Across from the comedy club,
I can't smoke that.

Another pit bull, red nose,
teeth and tongue.

Groundbreaking, off into the ocean,
with a rash, and a cajun afterglow.

No joke, spices clean the system.
Grown in an amateur rat ass dump.

Peace lies in the grey here,
leave it up to us.

We got lots of muscle, a little juice left.

Decayed with spirit... even if it is sick and drowning. Powerful images with lots of ideas to think about. Great read.
