Wild Child (For Abriella) by Kim BennettWild child sparks the golden flame
Blazing eyes shun the concept of tame
Curious eyes sear the web choking the mind
Beguiled child burns Curious blind.
Winter evening dances with Silence.
Bowing to Beauty known as Providence.
Soul of beauty dips into Heavens eyes.
Splintered clouds kiss Heavens skies.
Gasping ivy blooms into emerald rainbows
Secret garden walls hidden as it grows
Prism garden reaches for the un-shadowed sun.
Grasping vines sprout a ladder, nature spun.
Intense azure waves to perpetual horizons
Constant movement carrying wind with ravens
Into movement sinking below royal
Immense colours mist eyes to boil.
Hollow Autumn voices echo with death
Crying music halts to take a breath
Swells of music cling to repeating life
Follow changing patterns cut by a knife.
Tame woman whispers to her inner soul
Curiosity not forgotten, merely glazed by the wise
Images of nature, words for a newborn, to console
Remember them when whispering goodbyes.

Author's Note: I wrote this for my friend Kori's new baby girl, Abriella. Basically to remind her to always be curious, and the beauty in this world can be found in nature and adventure.
