Silver Sunlight

by Jacki M Butler

The coulds lift to expose the sun
Usually a brilliant gold, but tonight a hot white
As it begins to make its final decent behind the trees
It sends off a brilliance of white light
Leaving the ocean to shine silver,
Not the darkness of its true self.
The often crimson rocks glow
As they are golden embers in a flame.
The sky rages of pinks and purples
Soon the moon will shine
Then again the sea will be at peace.
