So Small, Standing by Amanda Conloguethe sky is a wall
of black, no cracks
no pinholes of light
shining through
I don't know what
that means, maybe
it says something
about wishes and dreams
about hope and faith
maybe its an omen
like spotting a raven
perched on a fencepost
and hearing it squawk
or watching the spread
and glide of snowy white
owl's wings take flight
all I know is I am
insignificant, I am
so small, standing
beneath it
looking up
