Sister

by Uriel Tovar

echoes fade through a lime green gelatin

shaking and trembling through a discourse of time

falling victim to a mass hysteria of doubt

no one knew what tomorrow would bring

open air frees the noise like

caged black birds crossing a barren sea

diving into their drowning pool

sucked into a thimbel

no one knew, no one knew

no one knew the doubts

focused on the ground

and limping through the sounds

when we were young we could have

now we arrive to this new found place

   focused on the ground

now we arrive to this broken glass

jagged edges find their home

dripping down the drain

I see a theme developing here...
