Wet Road

by Uriel Tovar

my view is obstructed
by dozens of stars
splattered
against the frame of my destiny.

they are wiped clean--
destroyed
by the hand of time
guarding my thoughts with a steady
wish
whoosh
splat.

streaks of light
cut into my eyes
like tiger claws
pouncing on me
like the turn ahead:
metal and rubber squeal.

Yes, interconnected events, one leading to the other, which in turn shall cause another effect and so on.
