Skipping

by Charles E Minshall

I skipped in the street
I skipped on the ground,
I skipped and skipped
I skipped all around.

I skipped in the house
Skipped on the lawn,
Then I skipped me
And poof! Was gone.

I skipped backwards
It didn't take long,
I skipped and skipped
'Till I wasn't gone.

I skipped in the house
The ground and street,
Skipping and skipping
Makes very tired feet.

I think I'll skip
On off to bed,
To skip the skipping
With dreams instead.

Charlie, you are a master at making me laugh. You are the sun on a rainy day. I love this - thank you for a light-hearted look at life with so much introspection.

I love how your mind works man. With an adult's pereception, and a child's mind. Excellent read. Dr. Seus eat your heart out! ;o)

Part of the fun of reading this was trying to picture you skipping childlike all around. Then I enjoyed the skipping of the skipping and the dreaming. Very clever - as usual. Thanks for helping me skip just a few moments of my assiduousness.

What a blast CharMin...you are self-winding, too! Thanks for the fun.

I may have skipped signing in the day this was picked(or maybe not but skipped it all the same) but who could contradict the fun of such a game? Great poem!
