Lost

by Uriel Tovar

Stars falling
on a midnight sky
Wind's blowing
but I don't know why
You are even here.

Come crash
Into my throne.
Come fall
upon my crown
of pebbles and tin.

the beauty and the simplicity in this is as rare to capture as that elusive fawn in the forest and you have done so and gently.

"Stars falling on a midnight sky" By using the word "on" instead of "from" you've taken an overused phrase and made it new. The difference is subtle but, in my mind, brilliant. Exceptional piece.

I don't know how many times I have came back to this piece. Never have any words to describe how it makes me feel, so I retreat. And then it beckons once again. Beautiful.
