welcome to hindsight

by Cymbre Dolphay

I regret not touching you
when I had the chance.

You were there,
close enough
for my sight to blur
if I focused too hard
on the color of your eyes.

Infatuation nearly drove me
to inhale your skin
in the hopes of truly
tasting your cologne.

My sea of raging hormones
was begging to ebb
against your shores.
