I've been

by Aaron Howard

I’ve been going on down that dusty trail..
I’ve been hiding away from all the sent mail..
I’ve been trucking on down the highway alone..
I’ve been constantly fighting the urge to use the phone..
I’ve been everywhere, except in your arms..
I’ve been there setting off the burglar alarms..
I’ve been there once, never to look back..
I’ve been here everyday, on the ulterior attack..
I’ve spoken my mind so many time about this..
I’ve lost myself deep in someone’s kiss..
I’ve spent my last time on a poor man’s meal..
I’ve thought it over about my will to steal..
I’ve thought about you in the past..
I’ve thought about how time fly’s so fast…
I’ve known deep down the underlying truth..
I’ve fought for my life, nail and tooth..
I’ve been there, done that..
I’ve stood tall, and fell flat.

Open you mind and tell me whole..
Open you mouth and take control..
Open your mind and then you’ll see..
Open your heart to your favorite fantasy.
