When Lucius Seduced Claudia by Ken Harnisch
So he climbed to heaven on her breast
And she shivered, though she was not cold
Surrendering reason to the heated plate
Of his desire, and the motion of her
Ambiguous own
Afterwards, as women do, she analyzed
Every move. The kisses became night crawlers;
His hands garden claws pawing
Without relent at her unblemished virtue.
Calling him a blight, a destroyer
Of young girls dreams
She drummed her fingers
Waiting his reply
He registered the requisite mild protest
In response; the conquest done;
With no time in his repertoire for
Bandying words over the flotsam
Left after another battle won
Yet, he smiled at her quirkiness
Her earnest search for answers
To questions asked too late
In the sleepless hours
That followed
He fell in love with her
While she decided she liked
The body that made acquaintance
With her soul the night before
And in the morning, while he fretted
Over the number she didnt leave
She stepped outside and turned her face
In promise to the newly minted sun. 01/07/2004 Posted on 01/07/2004 Copyright © 2025 Ken Harnisch
