I just wanted to state for the record, that you were wrong…

You lied to me.. straight faced… and I believed you.. because I was stupid… Because I didn’t see the things in you that everyone else did.. because I looked past…Your past… and saw a future… but that wasn’t good enough for you… that wasn’t the time of your life.. that was a moment.

And that moments gone.

I’m sorry.. I forgot who I was dealing with…

I forgot that history.. I forgot that lie I told myself..

I forgot you… at least the you I loved…

I forgot my dreams.. all wrapped around you…

I forgot myself.. when I felt loved by you.

I felt alone.. true.. but I had a memory of before you to guide me..
A memory that people didn’t lie to the ones they loved…

A picture of truth in a gallery of deceit…

Thanks for the lesson in illusionary kindness..
