West highway getaway
on to a better day.
Forget the past, it'll only slow you down.
Like a suit of armor to make you drown.
So pack it up on the west highway getaway
since it isn’t my time here anymore today.
I've got to head on down that line
and see what out west I can find.
Drop it all and don't forget to call home
so they won't feel so all alone.
Drop a postcard just to make sure
and maybe love will be your cure.
So just plan hat getaway
and love your life another day
