True clown by Aaron Howard
Laying on these sheets day after day.
kissing and cuddling but nothing to say.
Words could ruin this precious moment.
The wrong words could just torment.
Don't worry for I'll always be here.
So you always have someone near.
So why would you look at me that way.
Where there isn't a sultry thing to say.
When all of our friends get down
they play to me to be the clown
and in this storybook fantasy I'm starting to drown
in my sorrow since all that left is a slinky gown
and you've gone far to another town
So maybe after all, I'm the true clown.
