Today's Tomorrow

by Aaron Howard

Strange how I always want what I can't have.
Something so close yet I can't grab.
So I watch her leave me to go away
to act a role in another play.
While all the ants march on tarmac
my emotional turmoil's on the attack.
Watching the world pass as a nightmare.
Thinking how far we have come without a care.
Always grasping at straws in life only to find
a lonely place can be devastating on the mind.
So don't think I'm free when you look
for she is now just a memory in a book.
You'll never see her, Never smell her hair.
You'll never know, for her, how much I cared.
Now she's gone and I'm looking for tomorrow
So I cant forget today's pain and sorrow.
