Till it's gone by Aaron HowardCaress my hands like a true lover
and you know when to duck and cover.
You know the ways to make me smile.
You know that time takes a while.
You smile in an angels way
since love doesn't happen everyday.
Maybe somehow life will trample on
and somewhere somehow there will be a dawn.
So in this insomniacs night I dwell
and maybe some would consider it a hell.
Maybe knowing all of the past.
Maybe knowing of things that don't last.
Maybe one day a reconcile might be in order
and maybe in the end we'll only cross a border.
Maybe we'll have only a brief moment in time
so be interested but act sublime.
So maybe we can just share our time together
and feel the word light as a feather.
Maybe, just maybe ,life will let it turn out right
and maybe I will have you tomorrow as well as tonight.
So maybe we'll cross paths for a better tomorrow
so we could forget today's pain and sorrow.
Maybe we'll be the ones to make that fairy tale ending
or maybe this is just the wrong message I'm sending.
Maybe, Just maybe, Life will let it turn out right.
and maybe I'll get to keep you today as well as tonight.
Maybe life will take a turn for the right
and you'll be here with me tonight.
Maybe life doesn't always want to break our hearts
but hey, when the end happens, the beginning starts.
So maybe after all has been said and done
maybe we'll find out we're not the only one
who's destined to be left alone on a Friday night
just because you had to get away on that flight.
Maybe life is just a lesson for us to learn
and to come and feel the cool as well as the burn.
You never know what you have till it's gone
and you'll only know that after an alone morning's dawn.
