Sold my soul by Aaron Howard
Late on night on the crossroads I met a man.
He said he had me in all his future plans.
He seemed to know how I would act
and He said just sign this contract.
He said now ...
You won't ever slow down
You won't ever grow old
So I went and sold my soul
to rock and roll
That was over a decade ago
and time hasn't passed by that slow.
I now know of the fate that awaits me
and I can hear the devils laughter and stupendous glee.
So I am on the hunt for that spot from so long ago
since if I die, I won't have my soul to show.
I want to make the devil re bet on my soul
since I sold my soul to rock and roll.
Don't want no more promises or lies.
I just want to be able to look the devil in his eyes.
I want to earn back the all that I've lost
and I want to end up knowing what is the real cost.
Mama Said Don't sign that contract.
Daddy said Don't ever slow down, you won't ever grow old.
So I went off and I sold my soul to rock and roll.
