Small as sand by Aaron HowardKeeping perfectly still in the middle of the night.
Watching the passing pale moonlight.
Wasting away watching the shooting stars.
Listening to all of the passing cars.
Sitting on the roof of this brick building
while I sit under the night clouds shielding.
Feeling as small as a grain of sand.
looking over the lay of the land.
Knowing I'm just an ant in a world of boulders.
Knowing all this and the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Knowing the size of it all.
Knowing the size of the petty super mall.
thinking of the point of it anyways
with all the different stories and plays.
All the different customs and ways
and all the different grays.
So how should we think of it?
Just bare or teeth and grit?
Should we just bend over and take it again
or is this something outside of the rain?
So knowing I'm not worth the dust I am
and I'm stuck here on this hellish land.
Stuck here with moron's and N.R.A. assholes
who want to fill all the mammals with bullet holes.
Not satisfied with just a little meat
They have to get a license, Shhhiiiiieeet!
