Walking on a path, not looking around.
Just looking ahead not down at the ground
Walking blind on your stupid faith.
Thinking your insanely and overzealously safe.
The notice of it getting harder to step
and your heart gets that jet of pep.
You see your feet sunk past the knee
as the quicksand starts to suck you down with glee.
The quicksand has no remorse or pity
and quicksand can even be in the heart of the city.
It can suck you down and make you someone else
and you'll wake up one day, Not yourself..
So beware where your feet shall tread
or you could easily wind up quick and dead.
So take my words in dire heed
for there's quicksand around indeed...
