Pride is something you lost with your heart.
Pride is something you never had from the start.
Pride will ruin your life and love
and leave you waving your hands up above.
It will make you run from the ones you trust
and make you stupid acts on the behalf of lust.
Pride will make you even less of a man
than any person or drug ever can.
So beware of this thing called Pride
for it all dwells deep inside.
For you might just think your always right
and know everything there is in sight
but you might not know how it is on the other side.
You may never see what they have to hide.
So you might call them a sinner, or shit.
The bastards to walk this forsaken planet.
The youth, the old, that man with teeth of gold.
Whatever you think, don't think you're more of a man
just because you got to follow you own little plan
of hoarding your money to build that big house
and get your wife that 3 thousand dollar blouse.
Never look down upon a man, even though you won't hear
since all people can ever insight is fear.
To try to help anyone isn't a custom nowadays
and I must have forgotten in my old age.
