Prayer of silence

by Aaron Howard

Thank god you've finally taken the clue.
Trying to figure out that little something new.
So you mean to tell me, you really care
while you hide that demented smile behind your hair?
I don't want to hear that old sob story
for it's ever done is bore the hell out of me.
So pack it up and take it on down the road
because I'm not your prince to be turned into a toad.
I don't want to hear about your new little boys
or know about the size of their toys.
Get with it already damn!
Go get some cheese for that ham.
Your little pork story's make me yawn.
Trying to keep me up till the morning dawn.
I'm tired of hearing about your belittled love
because my hate fits you like a glove.
I still don't know why I've come to hate you so
maybe it's because you can't seem to say No.
With your demented little brain,
now all you want to do is share your pain.
So why don't you go ruin someone else's life?
When they decide to make you their wife.
Maybe they'll just use you, like you did me.
and if I'm lucky, you'll be too blind to see.
It's the same old song and dance
on your heart I hope they prance.
On that day I'll sit back and smile
while I watch you scamper that tormented mile.
