Overdrive by Aaron HowardIn those futile few seconds before the impact.
when everything goes from white to black.
Where do you go after the fear of being late.
running down this narrow path called fate.
So what do you do when you wake,
how longs it been for goodness sake?
How could it all happen to me and you,
one of the statistics, one of the select few?
So where do we go from here?
Never close, somewhere near.
Dwelling on my growing fear
that your going to leave me in passing gear.
A muffin for the morning.
A cake at night.
A way to make you feel all right
you make food your driven delight
with your snack in the middle of the night.
A way to relax your soul
and let you stomach take control.
You have to have a certain something to get you through
Some little something that you must always do.
A way to make you smile
and to help you make that mile.
A way to fill that little hole.
A way you feel to complete your soul.
An urge that you just can't fight.
A way to put you out of your miserable night.
